Oil for Ebony
Oil for Ebony aims to protect the fingerboard’s ebony wood. It contains high-quality natural oils that penetrate deeply into the wood, providing long-lasting hydration that protects and prolongs the piece’s life. Additionally, it enhances the wood’s natural beauty and prevents it from drying out and cracking.
It is perfect for protecting and enhancing the appearance of high-quality ebony parts and previously stained pieces. It contributes to better protection and colour durability.
We highly recommend testing the oil on a small, inconspicuous area of the fingerboard to ensure it does not cause any adverse reactions.

Application Guidelines

Completely clean the fingerboard to remove any dirt, oil, or residue.
Use a clean cloth to apply the oil. Soak the cloth with a small amount of product and spread it lengthwise across the entire piece. Apply a thin layer and remove any excess product with a soft cloth to avoid buildup.

It dries in a few hours. If you want a second coat, wait until the next day to ensure the first application is completely dry and repeat the process.
Caution: The OW Oil for Ebony must not come into contact with the varnish. It may damage the surface of the instrument.

If the ebony piece to be treated has been previously stained, OW Oil for Ebony can be applied to ensure proper colour durability and good condition. Apply once or twice, with a 24-hour interval. This will protect the colour and the wood.

Security
According to Regulation No. 1272/2008 (CLP), this product is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse immediately with water. Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children. It is recommended to use protective gloves against minor risks and panoramic goggles against splashes and projections.
According to available data, it is not considered hazardous to the environment.

Storage
The product can be stored for over a year in its original container, tightly closed and protected from the elements (indoors and at temperatures between 5 and 35ºC).
Keep the container tightly closed and in a cool place, and avoid direct exposure to light. Avoid heat sources, radiation, static electricity, and contact with food. Under these conditions, the product remains stable for over a year.
