Imprimitura Minerale

From 19,00

Imprimitura Minerale is a transparent ground designed to add mineral compounds to the wood, saturating its pores to improve its performance and, therefore, the instrument’s performance.

The vehicle used is the oleo-resinous component, which facilitates the application of the mineral loads, protects the wood from external agents, and provides excellent transparency and refraction.

Before use, it is recommended to test on pieces or parts of wood like those of the instrument to be treated to predict the colour tone that can be achieved in each case.

1

For the first coat, stir the product thoroughly with a small stick until it is completely homogenised. Add a few drops of Special Oil and continue stirring until the mixture is homogeneous, to facilitate the application. Do not exceed the ratio of Oil to Mineral Ground = 1/4.

&&
2

Apply small portions of the mixture to the instrument’s surface using your finger or a brush. Spread it in circular motions, applying light pressure and ensuring no excess remains.

Allow the product to dry through sunlight or UV light. Although the drying time depends on factors such as light amount and intensity or humidity, maintain a minimum of 8 hours of UV light exposure.

3

Once the first coat is dry, apply a second coat and proceed as in the first step. Excellent results are achieved by using two very thin and even coats.

When the ground is thoroughly dry, in some cases, lightly rub the surface with a linen or cotton cloth dampened with de-aromatised petroleum essence (wear gloves) to remove any mineral particles that may have surfaced. Allow to dry.

Security and Storage

1

Security

Use vinyl or nitrile gloves, as they will significantly ease the application of the ground and prevent the absorption of its components through the skin. The use of panoramic goggles against splashes and projections is also recommended.

Under Regulation No. 1272/2008 (CLP), the product is not classified as hazardous.

The product is non-flammable under regular conditions. It is not classified as hazardous to the environment. Keep it away from drain surfaces and groundwater.

2

Storage

Keep the container tightly closed in a cool place and avoid direct light exposure. Also, avoid heat sources, radiation, static electricity, and contact with food. Under these conditions, the product remains stable for more than two years.
